Job description :As an Optician, you will play a central role in the visual health of our patients, to whom you will recommend the products best suited to their needs. Your valuable technical skills will be essential to them, whether it involves the choice, cutting or adjustment of lenses, carried out in compliance with our standards of excellence and using state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, your interest in current trends in optics will ensure them the most up-to-date service. A key member of our team, you will play a fundamental role in the satisfaction of our customers and in the influence of the clinic.

Tasks and responsabilities :

X Ensure a warm welcome from customers;  

X Assess the visual needs of patients taking into account optometric prescriptions;  

X Advise patients on the choice of frames, glasses and contact lenses, according to the patient's needs;  

X Take measurements and adjust frames;  

X Carry out adjustments and repairs on frames;  

X Carry out cutting and assembly in the laboratory;  

X Check the conformity of glasses or lenses with the prescription;  

X Collaborate with the team in place to ensure the smooth running of clinic operations;  

X All other related tasks.

Qualifications and skills required :

X Hold a diploma in optics and eyewear (or in the process of obtaining it); 

X Be a member of the Order of Opticians of Quebec; 

X Rigor and attention to detail; 

X Ability to establish a relationship of trust and understand the specific needs of customers.
