This Christmas, help us bring a sparkle of happiness into the eyes of local children less spoiled by life. Visit the tree in The Bay's courtyard to select a light bulb bearing the name and age of a Laval child in need. 

You're invited to purchase a new gift valued at $20 to $25 and bring it to the Arbre de Joie. This gift will be wrapped by the students of Val-des-Arbres school (the elves) and distributed to the child of your choice. In exchange, you'll be able to light the bulb in the tree bearing the child's name.

What could be more wonderful than to think that for every bulb lit, a child's eyes will light up this Christmas? Monetary donations are also welcome and will help fulfill the mission of the Arbre de Joie, now in its 24th year. 

Here's the schedule for the little elves' Arbre de Joie:

• Thursday, December 7: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Friday, December 8: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, December 9: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, December 10: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Thursday, December 14: 6 pm to 8:30 pm
• Friday, December 15: 6 pm to 8:30 pm
• Saturday, December 16: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
