Technology Sales Supervisor

Job description:

Working primarily in a sales role, the Supervisor, Technology Sales will collaborate with management to determine and achieve daily financial and non-financial capital equipment goals. This position will evaluate immediate reports and play a primary role in providing guidance, training and coaching on company initiatives, sales programs and product knowledge to maximize sales and profits. The Supervisor, Technology Sales will actively collaborate with management to develop and strengthen the sales culture, improve customer relationships to increase sales and maintain company merchandising standards in partnership with the Sales Support Supervisor or Sales Support Manager. This position will not hold the keys to open and close the branch unless authorized by the General Manager and Regional Manager.

Tasks and responsabilities:

  • Collaborate with management to determine and achieve short and long term goals for the technology department. 
  • Ensure the team understands the relationship between the branch's financial success and incentive programs
  • Lead and learn sales in the technology and home furnishings departments and encourage a sales culture to associates working in these departments to meet current goals. 
  • Maximize service sales opportunities by developing the sales skills of technology department associates using current company sales techniques and programs. 
  • Responsible for training and coaching associates in all aspects of sales and customer interactions.
  • Effectively resolve customer concerns and report them to management as needed;
  • Provide sales tracking information as requested to management.
  • Handle inventory and product level issues and follow up with head office as needed;
  • Evaluate technical and sales skills of team members, provide training as needed;
  • Prepare quotes on systems and associated products as required.
