Job description:

As this is primarily a sales position, this position will maximize sales by demonstrating strong sales skills when assisting customers in the capital equipment department and technical services

Tasks and responsabilities:

  • Maximize sales opportunities with each customer using current company sales techniques and programs;
  • Replace and assist in all areas of the branch where business needs require and as trained by the associate; 
  • Communicate regularly with his/her manager to maximize sales; 
  • Maintain company merchandising standards including pricing, signage, planograms, promotional planners, advertising facilities and current displays; 
  • When required, be able to follow RUSCOMP procedures effectively in the technology department;
  • Appropriately safeguard company property and physical inventory; 
  • Thoroughly understand all company policies and procedures applicable to this position as listed on the training checklist; 
  • Maintain general cleanliness of all areas including reception area, lunchroom and restrooms as assigned in accordance with company standards;
  • Check all sources of information communication (whiteboards, bulletin boards, gates, etc.) 
  • Identify and communicate suggestions for improvement in all areas of the company;
  • Ensure equipment is used and maintained properly; 
  • Maintain a safe work environment, follow all company safety protocols and report any unsafe work conditions to a manager;
  • As per policy, personal items (i.e. bags, tote bags, backpacks, purses, etc.) of this position must be checked by a manager before leaving the branch.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner; 
  • Ability to deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner; 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers using a variety of means; 
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively; 
  • Ability to engage appropriately and work as a team member; 
  • Ability to work independently and ask for assistance when needed.
