Job description:

The primary objective of this position is to perform duties necessary to increase sales including merchandise flow, merchandising standards, inventory and stocking procedures in all departments of the branch. Demonstrate a high level of commitment to customers and increase sales while effectively assisting customers. The Sales Support Representative will work in tandem with the night shift as required.

Tasks and responsabilities:

  • Maintain company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, planograms, promotional planners, advertising facilities and displays;
  • Participate in all cyclical count processes as required by policies and procedures;
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and demonstrate professionalism when assisting customers and associates in various departments of the branch;
  • Take the opportunity to sell complementary items to customers using current company sales techniques and programs;
  • Communicate regularly with his/her manager to maximize sales;
  • Provide guidance, motivate, delegate tasks to associates and follow up on discrepancies as needed; 
  • Assists in keeping the damaged goods area clean and ensures that items requiring shrink wrapping are processed in a timely manner;
  • As needed, assist with recycling programs including toner, ink, batteries and electronic items;
  • Ensure understanding of and compliance with all privacy policies and procedures;
  • Fully understand all policies and procedures related to this position as outlined on the training checklist;
  • Identify and communicate suggestions for improvement in all areas of the business; 
  • Check and understand all sources of information communication (whiteboards, bulletin boards, portal, etc);
  • Ensure general cleanliness of workstations, lunchroom and restrooms according to company standards; 
  • Maintain a safe work environment, follow all company safety protocols and report any unsafe work conditions to a manager; 
  • In accordance with policy, a manager must check personal items (bags, tote bags, backpacks, purses, etc.) of the incumbent before leaving the branch.

  • Ability to approach customers in a friendly and professional manner; 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers using a variety of means; 
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively to serve our customers;
  • Ability to work effectively despite ongoing distractions is required; 
  • Ability to engage appropriately and work as part of a team; 
  • Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed
