Rules and Regulations

By entering this contest, you represent that you have read the contest rules below and agree to the terms and conditions herein.


1. DURATION OF THE CONTEST

1.1 The Contest Rules and Regulations "An Immersive Exploration of Earth" contest (hereinafter the "Contest") is organized by Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust (hereinafter the "Contest Organizers"). There will be a single Contest period (hereinafter a "Contest Period"), from April 11, at 10:00 a.m. (ET) to April 23, at 11:59 p.m. (ET), consisting of the duration of the Contest (hereinafter the "Contest Period").


2. ELIGIBILITY 


2.1 The Contest is open to Quebec residents 18 years of age or older. 


2.2 Employees of Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust, as well as agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity under their control or affiliated with them, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials or services related to this Contest, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse and all persons with whom such employees, agents and representatives reside are not eligible to enter the Contest.


3. HOW TO ENTER


3.1 The Contest is open to Quebec residents 18 years of age or older. The form will be posted in the central courtyard of DUO Centre Laval from April 16 to 22, shared on our Instagram and Facebook platforms, and sent to our email subscribers on April 11. Here are the steps to participate: 


a) Complete the registration form, indicating your first name, last name, postal code, e-mail address and telephone number (the "Registration Form");

b) Declare that: (i) you have read and agree to all terms and conditions of the Official Rules by checking the appropriate box; (ii) you agree to receive newsletters from DUO Centre Laval and Musée Armand-Frappier; (iii) you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older;

c) Click on " done ";

d) A message confirming that your form has been successfully submitted will then be sent.


3.2 No purchase necessary.


4. PRIZES


4.1 The following prizes (total value of approximately $450) will be awarded to the winners drawn on April 23:


2 grand prizes, each worth approximately $150 and including:
1 Musée Armand Frappier family passport, and 1 Cosmodôme family passport

3 secondary prizes, each worth $52, and including:
1 Musée Armand Frappier family passport


4.2 The following conditions apply to the prizes: (i) the prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned or exchanged for cash (unless the Contest Organizers agree to do so in their sole discretion); (ii) the Contest Organizers reserve the right at all times to substitute the prize or any component thereof, for any reason whatsoever, with a prize or component thereof of equal or greater value, including, without limiting the foregoing, at the discretion of the Contest Organizers, cash value (iii) the prize is subject to all other terms and conditions accompanying the gift cards or communicated by the Contest Organizers to the winners and will be available for use at all participating retailers (iv) no compensation will be provided to the winner or his/her guest for any unused portion of the prize.

4.3 Any other costs incurred by the winner, including transportation, lodging, gratuities, insurance or any other incidental expenses are excluded and remain the sole responsibility of the winner.



5. AWARDING PRIZES AND WINNERS


5.1 Prizes will be awarded at random. Prizes will be drawn on Tuesday, April 23 at noon (12:00 pm).


5.2 The winner must comply with all the confistions of these rules and regulations and must:

    •     Pick up the prize in person at the DUO | Centre Laval and Quartier Laval customer service counter within 10 days. If requested by the winner, the prize may be sent by mail;
    •      Complete and sign the declaration and release form, answering the mathematical skill-testing question (10 X 8) - 40;
    •      Provide photo identification and proof of Quebec residency upon receipt of prize.

Failure to comply with these confitions will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize in accordance with these rules.


6. GENERAL CONDITIONS


6.1 Disqualification. The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person who enters or attempts to enter the Contest in a manner that is contrary to these Contest Rules or unfair to other entrants. This person could be turned over to the competent legal authorities.

6.2 Conduct of the Contest. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempts be made, the Contest Organizers reserve the right to reject the entrant's entry and seek remedies under the law.

6.3 Limitation of liability: use of prizes. By entering the Contest, the entrant releases the Contest Organizers, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity under their control or affiliated with them, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, representatives and agents ("Released Parties") from any and all liability for any damages that the entrant may incur as a result of accepting or using the prize.

6.4 Limitation of Liability: Conduct of the Contest. The Released Parties shall not be liable for any cause that prevents any person from participating in the Contest or from reading the Contest rules.

6.5 Changes to the Contest. The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to modify or suspend this Contest in whole or in part, or to terminate it, in the event of an event or human intervention that could alter or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Contest as provided for in these Contest Rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required.

6.6 Limit on the number of prizes. In no event shall the Contest Organizers be required to award more prizes than the number provided for in these Contest Rules or to award a prize other than in accordance with these Contest Rules. The Contest is limited to the prizes listed in section 4.1.

6.7 Limitation of Liability: Participation in the Contest. Persons who enter or attempt to enter this Contest release the Released Parties from any and all liability for any damages they may suffer as a result of their entry or attempted entry into the Contest.

6.8 Communication with Entrants. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants in connection with this Contest other than in accordance with these Contest Rules or at the initiative of the Contest Organizers.

6.9 Personal information. The personal information of entrants collected in connection with this Contest will be used solely for the administration of this Contest. No communication, commercial or otherwise, unrelated to this Contest will be sent to the entrant unless the entrant has otherwise consented.

6.10 Copyright and Trademark. The use or reproduction of trademarks or copyrighted materials in connection with the Contest is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of the trademark or copyright owner.

6.11 Severability of paragraphs. If any portion of these Contest Rules is declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Contest Rules to the fullest extent permitted by law. Before being declared a winner, you must answer a mathematical skill-testing question.

6.12 Ownership. The Declaration is the property of the Contest Organizers and will not be returned to the entrant under any circumstances.

6.13 Quebec residents. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

6.14 Alleviation. The use of the masculine gender in these rules to refer to the Participant is for the sake of brevity only.
